Biography

R. Guruchandran Swami (born March 2, 1957, Cumbum, Theni District) is a spiritual master known as Guru Bogar Sai Siddhar. His spiritual journey spans over 43 years of dedicated ascetic life.

First Pilgrimage: Visited the Pashupatinath Temple in the Himalayas first.

1977

Rigorous Penance

Spent one full year in a state of rigorous penance/meditation.

1977–1980

Nepal Ashrams

Lived an ascetic life in Nepal ashrams.

1980–1987

Siddha Jeeva Samadhi Shrines

Visited Siddha Jeeva Samadhi shrines and practiced deep meditation focused on Lord Shiva.

1983–1990

Mauritius Service

Stayed and served at the "Murugasram" ashram in Mauritius, mastering states of self-realization, yoga, and meditation.

1990–1997

Nirvana Deeksha

Received Nirvana Deeksha (initiation) as the third disciple from Gurusami Narayana Namboodiri at the Sri Lanka Devi Niroleeya Ashram and learned all sacred arts.

1997–2000

International Training

Trained at the Seshadri Swamigal Ashram in Tiruvannamalai. Afterward, provided spiritual training across 11 foreign countries through the Sri Lanka Devi Ashram.

2000–2007

Sathuragiri Cave Meditation

Resided anonymously inside a cave in the Sathuragiri Hills wearing only a loincloth (Kovanam like an ascetic), internalizing Lord Shiva, mastering the five elements (Pancha Boothas), hidden from the outside world to attain self-realization.

Social Service & Trust Activities

2007–2017

Koovagam Koothandavar Temple

Served as the trustee (Dharmakartha) of the Koovagam Koothandavar Temple for transgender persons and dedicated service to the transgender community.

2017–2020

Sri Mahalakshmi Transgender Trust

Established the "Sri Mahalakshmi Transgender Trust," traveled extensively across India, and dedicated two years at the Shirdi Sai Baba Temple. Secured vital government assistance and established welfare boards for transgender individuals.

2020–2023

Shirdi Sai Baba Sanctuary

Selected Melanthangal village to build a Shirdi Sai Baba temple, successfully completing the construction, consecration (Kumbabishekam), and continuous service at the Shirdi Sai Baba Sanctuary.

2023–2024

Sri Kodi Baba Dharma Seva Trust

Deeply understanding the glory of Shirdi Sai Baba—who is an incarnation capable of performing great miracles—dedicated myself to Baba and founded the "Sri Kodi Baba Dharma Seva Trust." Through this trust, we are undertaking the sacred mission of installing one crore (10 million) Sai Baba statues representing the five elements (Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Space/Ether).
